Galfand Berger Donates to 25th Annual Camp Out for Hunger Campaign
Each year, Galfand Berger employees begin the holiday season by donating to 93.3 WMMR’s annual Camp Out for Hunger campaign. The week-long event is the largest single-location food drive in the United States, with proceeds benefitting Philabundance, a non-profit food bank that serves Philadelphia and the Delaware Valley. Recently, two of our attorneys, Bradley Smith and Brooke Elmi, were recognized with Certificates of Appreciation for working on pro bono custody matters for two participants of Pennsylvania’s Supervision to Aid Reentry (STAR) program. The STAR program is a federal Reentry Court program for Philadelphia residents on supervised release with the goal of reducing recidivism and assist returning citizens in confronting the various logistical, family, and social issues and barriers to re-integration when returning from custody.
