Galfand Berger Hosts Special Reception for the Honorary Consul of Lithuania to Mexico, Ronen Waisser Landau

Galfand Berger, LLP, hosted a special reception for the Honorary Consul of Lithuania to Mexico, Ronen Waisser Landau, on Friday, November 8, 2013. Krista Bard, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Lithuania to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, presented Mr. Waisser to the attendees.

Ronen Waisser-Landau is a second generation Mexican-born descendant of a Lithuanina-Polish-Jewish family.   Mr. Waisser-Landau studied International Relations at the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico.  He started his career working for the Mexican Federal Anti-Corruption Ministry and then moved on to consulting on international development issues in Washington DC.  While in DC he applied for and was granted Lithuanian citizenship.  Upon his return to Mexico he started several joint ventures for high end housing projects in Mexico City.  Soon after he founded EuroPasaporte America, a firm dedicated to obtaining European citizenship for the descendants of European émigrés.

Mr. Waisser-Landau was appointed as the Honorary Consul of Lithuania in Mexico in 2009, making him the youngest-ever Lithuanian Honorary Consul appointee anywhere in world.

The reception provided for a lively exchange of information. Mr. Waisser-Landau spoke of his engagement with the Lithuanian, Jewish and Mexican communities and offered his perspectives on interfaith and intercultural diplomacy, and international business.
