Kids Chance Has Awarded More Than $1,000,000 in Scholarships Since 2002
November 4, 2012 – Since its founding in 1998 by Rick Jurewicz and Joe Lurie of Galfand Berger LLP, Kids Chance of Pennsylvania, Inc., a non-profit corporation, has been annually awarding scholarships to children of Pennsylvania injured workers who were catastrophically or fatally injured at work. The vision of Galfand Berger LLP in creating and initially leading this educational scholarship program has turned into a huge success.
This year, Kids Chance will have awarded more than $1 million dollars in scholarships since 2002. To date, more than 375 scholarships have been awarded to young men and women who are economically disadvantaged because one of their parents has been fatally or seriously injured.
