    Training Union Leaders

    Senior Partner Michael McGurrin, Esq., Managing Partner Michael Malvey, Esq., and Senior Partner Brad Smith, Esq. recently conducted seminars for local USW union leaders. These programs focused on what workers need to know after a workplace injury and how to navigate the Workers’ Compensation system.

    Supporting the Community

    Partner Brooke J. Elmi, Esq. represented the firm at Labor Rights Week at the Consulate of Mexico in Philadelphia. The Consulate provides essential services—including legal aid and emergency assistance—to Mexican nationals in the region.     Advancing Legal Education

    Mr. McGurrin was also honored to present at the 24th Annual Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Conference. His presentation, “Employment Law and Workers’ Compensation,” addressed the intersections of Workers’ Compensation, the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and unemployment compensation.

    Senior Partner Gabriela G. Raful, Esq. moderated “Judging Juries,” a Berks Bar Association program examining barriers to jury participation and their impact on equal justice. She also presented a CLE program at the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Section meeting in Hershey, focusing on the challenges of litigating cases involving injured workers with uncertain legal status.
