Galfand Berger Supports the Mexican Independence Day Festival 2014

Galfand Berger supports the heritage and culture of the communities we serve. One example is the firm’s support of the Mexican Consulate in Philadelphia, and the Mexican Cultural Center’s annual Mexican Independence Day Festival on September 14, 2014 at Penn’s Landing.  The festival celebrates Mexican Independence, and Mexico’s cultural and artistic diversity. The event is part of PECO’s Multicultural Festival Series.

The Mexican Cultural Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and encouraging a better understanding of Mexico and Mexican culture. It works to cultivate and preserve Mexican traditions in the Delaware Valley for residents of Mexican descent, and those of diverse nationalities. This year marks the 20^th Anniversary of the Mexican Culture Center.

Marla Soffer, is Of Counsel at Galfand Berger, and serves on the Board of the Mexican Cultural Center. Fluent in Spanish, Marla is a frequent lecturer in community programs that focus on the rights and safety of workers, product liability claims and general personal injury matters. She serves as a consulting attorney to the Consulate of Mexico in Philadelphia, and is on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Immigration and Citizenship Coalition.  To learn more about Marla, read her bio.
