Norman J. Weinstein, attorney at Galfand Berger LLP, helped create the Board Observer Program (BOP), where young leaders gain leadership experience and sit on a nonprofit board. The BOP has been successful for the last 10 years and will continue to help match hundreds of young lawyers with nonprofit boards in the Philadelphia region. Board members also benefit from this program by gaining new perspectives from a younger generation of attorneys.
This program allows young lawyers to do more than just observe; they fully participate in activities and fundraisers, and involve themselves in their community. Strengthening the professional networks of young leaders is at the core of this program and it will continue to provide free services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
