Each year, the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association (PBA) presents the Martha J. Hampton Award to an attorney or judge who embodies the qualities Martha championed throughout her career: deep compassion for others and an unshakeable commitment to the ideals of Workers’ Compensation law. This year, we are proud to continue this tradition by celebrating a new honoree who carries forward Martha’s legacy of excellence: Amit Shah.
The award serves as a lasting tribute to Martha J. Hampton, a former Partner at Galfand Berger and a foundational leader in the PBA’s Workers’ Compensation Section. Since 1995, the Section has been a vital force in creating opportunities for community service, continuing legal education (CLE), and advancing diversity and inclusion within the legal field.
This year’s recipient, Amit J. Shah, is a partner at Martin Law and a certified specialist in Workers’ Compensation law. A 2004 graduate of the Dickinson School of Law, Amit has dedicated his career to representing injured workers and currently serves as the secretary for the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Council. Please join us in congratulating Amit J. Shah on this well-deserved honor!
