Galfand Berger LLP Attorneys Selected to 2022 Pennsylvania Super Lawyers and Rising Stars Lists

Galfand Berger LLP is proud to announce that six of its attorneys have been named to the 2022 Pennsylvania Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists.

Debra Jensen is Galfand Berger’s Managing Partner. She focuses her practice on medical malpractice, products liability, and personal injury matters. In 1999, Debra became one of three women who were top managing attorneys at law firms in Philadelphia. She represents both individuals and families who have suffered catastrophic losses. Debra has been selected multiple times to the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list. And, in 2019, The Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania appointed Debra as a Hearing Committee Member. She joins a group of distinguished attorneys who serve an important role in the governance and discipline of Pennsylvania attorneys.

Richard Jurewicz, Senior Partner, handles complex products liability, construction accident, and automobile accident cases at the firm. He has obtained more than 38 multi-million-dollar verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients, totaling over $225 million dollars. Along with being selected to the Super Lawyers list each consecutive year since 2004, he is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, has numerous published opinions on past cases, has authored several articles, and is co-founder and past president of Kids’ Chance of Pennsylvania.

Gabriela Raful, Senior Partner, focuses her practice on personal injury, Workers’ Compensation, products liability, and Social Security Disability law. Gabby is a native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She is fluent in Spanish. Gabby is committed to being active in non-profit communities. In 2019, the Pennsylvania Bar Association presented Gabby with the Pro Bono Award for her legal services to indigent individuals. Gabby is a member of the Berks County Bar Association, where she serves as vice president and chair of the Minority Law Section. In 2020, Gabby joined the Board of Directors of the Berks County Community Foundation. This is Gabby’s second year being selected to the Rising Stars list.

Bradley Smith, Junior Partner, advocates on behalf of injured workers, consumers, and those who have been harmed by negligence. Since 2015, Brad has recovered over $25 million for his clients. Brad handles a variety of complex legal matters, including defective products, medical malpractice, automobile accidents, construction accidents, and slip and fall accidents. Brad has also published various articles and essays on products liability and injured workers’ rights. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Civil Litigation Council and is editor-in-chief of the Civil Litigation Section’s newsletter. Brad has been selected to the Rising Stars list each year since 2018.

Farhan Ali, Junior Partner, handles personal injury matters, including automobile accident and premises liability cases. Since 2016, Farhan has worked over 100 cases and has obtained over $10 million in verdicts and settlements. Farhan serves on the Board of Directors for HIAS Pennsylvania, an organization that provides legal services to refugees, immigrants, and asylum seekers. He also serves on the Board of Temple University’s Law Alumni Association. This is Farhan’s first year being named on the Rising Stars list.

Norman Weinstein, Of Counsel, is a top-rated attorney who has over 39 years of experience handling Workers’ Compensation and Social Security Disability cases. He has received numerous honors and accolades over his career. In 2019, Norm received a Citation from City Council, City of Philadelphia for his dedication in representing injured workers. He was also included on the PhillyLabor’s Who’s Who in Injury and Injured Workers Advocacy list. Norm has been named on the Super Lawyers list every year since 2005.
