Debra A. Jensen, a managing partner, has been selected to Super Lawyers in 2005, 2008 to 2010, 2014, and each consecutive year since 2019. As a Fellow in Temple University’s Academy of Advocacy, she is committed to restoring dignity and security to people who have been hurt through no fault of their own. Debra has achieved significant results for clients in the areas of medical malpractice, personal injury, and products liability. In 2019, the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania appointed Debra as a Hearing Committee Member. She joins a group of distinguished attorneys who serve an important role in the governance and discipline of Pennsylvania attorneys.
Richard M. Jurewicz, a senior partner, has been selected to Super Lawyers each consecutive year since 2004. Richard focuses his practice on catastrophic products liability, construction accidents, and automobile accident cases. He is recognized by all as an extremely skilled trial attorney who tenaciously represents his clients’ rights. A member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, Richard has achieved more than 38 multi-million-dollar verdicts and settlements, totaling over $225 million dollars. Richard is co-founder and past President of Kids’ Chance of Pennsylvania, Inc., a non-profit organization that provides scholarships to children.
Arthur L. Bugay, a partner, has been selected to Super Lawyers each consecutive year since 2010. He focuses on personal injury, products liability, negligent security, and employment law. He is professionally and personally committed to defending the rights of those who suffer due to the negligence or misconduct of others. He is known as a strong advocate for disabled and injured children, as well as the elderly, the latter focusing on nursing home negligence. He provides volunteer services for the Legal Clinic for the Disabled, and is an active volunteer for the indigent, receiving an outstanding service award for his efforts from the Consumer Bankruptcy Assistance Project.
Norman J. Weinstein, of counsel at Galfand Berger LLP, has been selected to Super Lawyers each consecutive year since 2005. He practices Workers’ Compensation and Social Security law. Norman has received honors from the City of Philadelphia for his dedication to advocating on behalf of injured workers. He has also devoted time to many pro bono projects, including the Support Center for Child Advocates and the Philadelphia Volunteers for the Indigent Program. He is past Co-Chair of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association and past President of the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society.
Gabriela Raful, a senior partner, has been selected to Rising Stars for the first time. She focuses on representing injured clients in the areas of Workers’ Compensation, personal injury, products liability, and Social Security disability. She is fluent in Spanish and provides highly qualified legal services to Hispanic clients in their native language. Gabriela was elected as Vice President of the Berks County Bar Association for 2021; she is the first minority attorney elected to this position. She is also a member of the Monitoring and Evaluation Team of the Language Access Advisory Group for the United Judicial System of Pennsylvania.
Bradley Smith, a junior partner, has been selected to Rising Stars each consecutive year since 2018. He is dedicated to advocating on behalf of injured workers, consumers, and victims of negligence. Since joining Galfand Berger LLP, Bradley has worked with his fellow attorneys to recover over $25 million for clients. He has won multiple awards for his writing and publications regarding the rights of injured workers, serving as Editor-in-Chief for the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Civil Litigation Newsletter. Bradley previously won first place in the College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers’ national writing competition with an article on the gig economy.
