  • Restaurant Worker Suffers Hand Injury

    Case Summary:

Galfand Berger products liability attorney Richard Jurewicz handled a case in which our client, a restaurant worker, suffered significant hand injuries using a defective milkshake machine.  Our client’s hand came in contact with an unguarded agitator when the cup she was holding, while the ingredients in it were being mixed, slipped out of her hand.  The milkshake machine lacked an adequate guard to prevent a person’s hand from accidentally coming in contact with the spinning agitator.

Because of the accident, our client suffered a severe avulsion and laceration to her right hand, small finger, and palm. Her injuries resulted in the eventual amputation of the small finger laceration and repair of her tendon for her ring finger

    Outcome:

We recovered a confidential six figure settlement for our client.  For more information on this case, call our law offices at 1-800-222-USWA (8792) or contact Mr. Jurewicz directly at [email protected].
