  • The 2025 Martha J. Hampton Award

Each year, the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association (PBA) presents the Martha J. Hampton award to an attorney or judge who best personifies the qualities that Martha prized most throughout her life and professional career: an unendingGalfand Berger compassion for others and an unshakeable commitment to the ideals of workers’ compensation law. This year, please join us in celebrating Judge Manager Todd Seelig!

The award serves not only as a tribute to the recipient, but also as a testament to Martha and her lasting memory. Before she passed away, Martha was a Partner with our firm. She was also a key player in the development of the PBA’s Workers’ Compensation Section, which first began creating opportunities for lawyers to pursue community service, continuing legal education (CLE), and diversity and inclusion in 1995.

This year’s recipient, Judge Manager Todd Seelig, was a longtime member of the bench hearing cases at the Philadelphia Workers’ Compensation Hearing Office. In January of this year, he became Judge Manager for the Southeastern District of PA. In his new role, Judge Seelig is responsible for overseeing and managing various aspects of the court’s operations. Judge Managers play a critical role in supporting judges, attorneys, and other court personnel in meeting the court’s mission of equal justice under the law. Please join us in congratulating Judge Manager Todd Seelig on receiving the Martha J. Hampton award!
