Galfand Berger partner Arthur Bugay filed a successful Friend of the Court Brief for the Pennsylvania Association of Justice (PaAJ) in a landmark products liability case preserving a $6.2 million dollar verdict for a widow whose husband was killed when his car’s airbag failed to deploy during a car accident, rendering him paralyzed. In Cancelleri v. Ford Motor Co., the Pennsylvania Superior Court affirmed this verdict and, in so doing, preserved case law favorable to victims of defective and dangerous products. Mr. Bugay’s brief was influential in achieving this decision.
