    Galfand Berger Sponsors Pennsylvania Labor Event

    Proud sponsor of the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO'sOur firm was a proud sponsor of the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO’s (American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations) Biennial Legislative Conference, which took place on March 31st and April 1st. The event, which runs every other year, helps establish basic goals and objectives to best protect the interests of working women and men in Pennsylvania. Senior Partner Michael McGurrin represented Galfand Berger at this important labor event.

    What Is the AFL-CIO?

    The American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations is the largest federation, or group, of unions in the United States. At any given time, the AFL-CIO represents nearly 15 million active and retired workers throughout 61 different unions, which are both national and international. The main goal of the AFL-CIO is to protect and serve the best interests of working people. Some of the organization’s primary purposes and priorities include advocating for issues like fair wages, good benefits, safe workplaces, the right to organize and bargain collectively, healthcare, retirement security, and economic justice.
