Galfand Berger LLP proudly sponsored the Greater Reading Immigration Project (GRIP) 5th Annual 5K Run and Fun Run Fundraiser held on Saturday, May 02, 2026, at Schlegel Park in Reading, Pennsylvania. For the fifth consecutive year, the firm supported the event and hosted a table to engage with participants and community members.

The Greater Reading Immigration Project (GRIP) supports “Dreamer” students through the GRIP Dreamer Scholarship Fund of the Berks County Community Foundation. Proceeds from the fundraiser help students who are ineligible for state and federal financial aid access critical tuition assistance so they can pursue their educational goals.

In addition to providing direct educational support, GRIP’s mission includes:

• Hosting summits, lectures, and community events to raise awareness of immigration issues affecting local youth and families. 
• Supporting undocumented students in continuing their education and exploring pathways toward legal status. 
• Expanding scholarship opportunities for students who are ineligible for traditional financial aid programs.
