Recognized Leaders on the 2026 Super Lawyers List

• Richard M. Jurewicz, Esq. has been with Galfand Berger for over 40 years, handling catastrophic injury, product liability, construction accident, and auto accident cases, among other complex legal matters. Rick has recovered more than 40 multi-million-dollar settlements and verdicts totaling over $250 million. He is board-certified in Civil Trial Law and Advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, and he is one of only 100 Pennsylvania attorneys inducted into the Outstanding Lawyers of America.
• Michael Malvey, Esq. has achieved nearly $100 million in verdicts and settlements across more than 500 personal injury cases, focusing on vehicle accidents, premises liability, construction accidents, and medical malpractice. Mike is a strong advocate for public service and recently ended his tenure as Chair of the Board of Directors for Esperanza Immigration Legal Services. He recently secured a landmark unanimous decision from the Pennsylvania Supreme Court that expands the rights of injured individuals.

2026 Rising Stars List: Attorneys Making an Impact

• Gabriela G. Raful, Esq. handles Workers’ Compensation, product liability, auto, and Social Security disability cases. Gabriela is a past President of the Berks County Bar Association, making history as the youngest, first racial minority, and naturalized citizen to hold the position. She was one of only 11 attorneys statewide selected for the Pennsylvania Bar Association Leadership Institute Class and the first attorney from Berks County.
• Bradley R. Smith, Esq. represents clients in complex product liability, construction accident, and industrial accident cases. Brad has secured over $40 million for his clients and is a prolific writer on product liability law and injured workers’ rights. He serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Civil Litigation Newsletter and on its Civil Litigation Council.
• Farhan Ali, Esq. handles complex personal injury cases, including premises liability and auto accidents. Since joining Galfand Berger in 2016, Farhan has worked on over 100 cases, securing $10 million in settlements and verdicts. Multilingual, he also serves as Vice President of HIAS Pennsylvania, supporting immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers.
• Brooke J. Elmi, Esq. handles personal injury matters, including product and premises liability, dog bites, construction accidents, bike assembly, and auto cases. Fluent in Spanish, Brooke represents clients from diverse backgrounds. In 2022, she successfully presented a case before the Superior Court of Pennsylvania in Merino v. Repak, B.V., resulting in a landmark ruling.
• Fallon Tarapchak, Esq. is an associate attorney at Galfand Berger LLP who focuses on premises liability and auto accident cases. She earned her J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law, where she served as a court-appointed mediator and led the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund. Fallon began her legal career interning for the former President Judge of Lackawanna County Court of Common Pleas.
