  • Philadelphia Products Liability Lawyers Discuss a Product Recall of Yankee Candles

Product Recall of Yankee CandlesYankee Candle recently recalled more than 30,000 of its candles from the Luminous Collection. The candles, which sit in glass jars, can shatter or crack when they are lit, which poses a serious risk of injury to consumers.

On its website, Yankee Candle acknowledged the risk of shattering or cracking glass and warned consumers of the possible laceration risk. Furthermore, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (USCPSC) has received 16 complaints of candles from the Luminous Collection shattering.

The recall includes the company’s Blackberry & Sage, Sugarcane & Honey, Cinnamon & Cedar candles, as well as others. The recalled candles were manufactured from September to November of 2016. The company is allowing consumers to return the affected candles and receive a new, replacement one from an unaffected lot.

To see if you own any of the recalled candles and to find more information on the risks and hazards they pose, you can click here: Yankee Candle Recalls Luminous Candles.
