October 28, 2013 – Galfand Berger was a proud supporter of the Seventh Annual Lacey Day Block Party held on October 13, 2013. This event supports the Lacey Gallagher Memorial Scholarship.
Lacey Gallagher, 18, was killed in a teen driving accident on the night of her senior prom in 2007. Her tragic car accident led to Lacey’s Law. This law increases the number of hours of behind-the-wheel training teens must have, puts restrictions on the number of passengers a teen may have in his or her car and mandates seat belt use.
The Lacey Gallagher Memorial Scholarship Fund was set up in Lacey’s honor because of her love for learning. Read more about the scholarship here.
