Our firm is proud to announce that Norman Weinstein was recently chosen as a recipient of the 2018 Who’s Who Injury and Injured Workers Advocacy Honor. This award is part of a PhillyLabor initiative that recognizes attorneys who fight to secure the rights of injured victims and workers. Only the top twenty-four Philadelphia personal injury and workers’ compensation attorneys receive the award, which is selected entirely on merit.
The PhillyLabor Initiative is a pro-labor media platform throughout the Philadelphia area – it is also often referred to as an “Ambassador for Labor.” Galfand Berger has proudly represented labor unions and workers since 1947. The PhillyLabor Initiative also created the Injured Workers Advocacy Program, a non-profit organization that provides services and resources to injured workers free of charge.
Recipients of the Who’s Who Injury and Injured Workers Advocacy Honor receive a citation certificate from the City Council of Philadelphia, and are featured on PhillyLabor’s radio show. Honorees are also included in PhillyLabor’s Injury and Injured Workers Advocacy List, which highlights them as staunch advocates for the rights of working individuals.
Norman has practiced in Workers’ Compensation and Social Security law for more than thirty years. Norm is no stranger to pro bono work: he has volunteered his services to the Legal Clinic for the Disable (LCD), Philadelphia Volunteers of the Indigent Program (VIP), and the Support Center for Child Advocates. Now a recipient of the Who’s Who Injury and Injured Workers Advocacy Honor, Norman also received the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association Community Service Award.
If you are an injured worker or have questions about your Social Security claim, Norm may be able to help. Please call a representative at our firm directly.
