Galfand Berger LLP sponsored the Opportunity House’s Wine, Women & Shoes (WW&S) annual fundraiser on Thursday, June 6, at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Reading, Pennsylvania. WW&S brings together philanthropic women throughout the surrounding areas to enjoy an evening of dining, bidding, shopping, and wine tasting in support of Opportunity House and its mission. Senior Partner Gabriela Raful, Esq. served as a judge for the evening’s event.
Reading’s Opportunity House shelter has provided food, housing, security, stability, safety, and community to the unhoused and those in need, helping to empower individuals to improve their circumstances since 1984. Since its original opening as a men’s shelter, Opportunity House has expanded to a 24-hour multi-service facility serving men, women, and children. It has also opened the Second Street Learning Center, OppShop, a retail thrift store, and created a Reuse & Recycle Program to reduce landfill waste.
