$140,000 Payment for Lower Back Injury
Case Synopsis:
Claimant was a 45 year old laborer who suffered a work injury to his low back trying to pull out machine which was nailed to floor.
Claimant was on compensation for approximately ten years. The nature of injury was a herniated disc.
Employer alleged claimant had recovered sufficiently to perform light duty work. Claimant alleged he now was suffering emotional problems due to the physical pain he had to endure.
Outcome:
We recovered $140,000 for claimant. The settlement included payment of ongoing medical treatment for a period of two years including psychiatric care.
