Marla Soffer Elected to Fleisher Art Memorial Board of Directors
Our firm is proud to announce that attorney Marla Soffer has been elected to the Board of Directors for the Fleisher Art Memorial. Fleisher Art Memorial is one of the oldest nonprofit community art schools is the country. Its mission is to ensure that art is accessible to each person, regardless of their artistic experience, economic means or background.
In order to achieve its goal of providing artistic access to everyone, the organization has created various community programs. Many of the programs bring art to children through after-school sessions at public schools and create safe spaces for adolescents to make art and learn about their favorite artists. Each year, the nonprofit gives classes to 17,000 individuals.
On the Board of Directors, Marla will help to oversee various programs and activities. Marla currently serves on the Board of Directors at the Pennsylvania Immigration and Citizenship Coalition as well as the Mexican Cultural Center, and has a history of commitment to community service and immigrant advocacy. Having been on the Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts / Arts & Business Council of Greater Philadelphia’s Board of Directors in the past, Marla is excited to join Fleisher Art Memorial’s team and work to provide artistic opportunities to children and adults throughout the community.
