Galfand Berger is investigating the complications caused by the popular homeopathic cold remedy Zicam. People who have taken or used this product have suffered from:
On June 17, 2009, the FDA warned consumers to stop using Zicam, a popular homeopathic cold remedy, because it can damage or destroy the sense of smell.
The FDA had received reports of 130 people losing their sense of smell after using one of the Zicam nasal products, which include Zicam Cold Remedy and Zicam Cold Remedy Swabs.
WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?
If you, a family member or friend have used Zicam and experienced any unusual side effects, contact your doctor’s office or hospital about your injury.
